Every day at Zambian Community Schools children go hungry. With around 80% of rural Zambia living on less than $1.25 a day, this will not surprise most people.
Today begins the launch of 2017's food appeal. Bana Tandizo feeds the children at community schools by providing them with a type of porridge called HEPS - High Energy Protein Supplement. It has been developed by the World Health Organisation for people lacking a nutritious diet. It costs £50 a bag and will feed 170 children every day for 2 weeks.
