On Oct 24th 2016 nine runners ran the Great South Run 2016 in aid of Bana Tandizo, raising a magnificent £3,800 for orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia. The race is famous for a gnarly South-westerly that runners face turning into the final stretch. However, the conditions were optimal for the second year running, with a cloudless sky and light winds from the East. Bana Tandizo intends to enter runners each year, so get in touch if you would like to take part. The next Great South Run takes place on October 22nd 2017 and places are now available. We are also looking into the Great North Run (half marathon) in September 2017, so do let us know if you would be interested. The Bana Tandizo foundation would like to thank everyone that took part and all those who generously sponsored them.
